190T Lightweight Taffeta Construction
The 190T plain-weave construction combines low fabric weight with a compact woven surface, making it suitable for applications where lightweight handling and coverage are important.

PU Silver-Coated Surface
A PU silver coating is applied to one side of the polyester taffeta, creating a silver-gray inner surface while retaining the selected dyed color on the visible fabric face.

Water-Resistant Performance
The silver-coated fabric can be developed with a hydrostatic pressure of approximately 800–1,200 mmH₂O for regular specifications, with higher configurations reaching approximately 1,500 mmH₂O.

Sun and Heat Protection
The silver coating reflects part of the incoming solar radiation and provides 82–86% UV blocking performance, helping reduce direct solar exposure in car covers, umbrellas, tents, and sunshade applications.

Light-Blocking Performance
The coated structure provides approximately 80–88% light blocking, making the fabric suitable for applications requiring additional shading compared with regular uncoated polyester taffeta.

Multiple Color Options
The fabric can be dyed in black, royal blue, red, and other colors before silver coating. The silver-coated side remains silver-gray and is normally positioned on the inner side of the finished product.

190T Silver-Coated Polyester Taffeta Fabric is primarily developed for lightweight protective and sun-shading products requiring a combination of water resistance, UV blocking, heat reflection, and low fabric weight.

Car and Motorcycle Covers
The fabric is particularly suitable for lightweight car covers and motorcycle covers. The dyed side forms the visible exterior, while the silver-coated side is normally positioned inward to provide additional solar and heat protection.

Umbrellas
Its lightweight 190T construction and silver-coated surface also make it suitable for sun umbrellas and other umbrella products requiring additional shading and UV protection.
Other applications include lightweight tents, beach tents, sunshade canopies, furniture dust covers, machinery protective covers, automotive sunshades, and lightweight dust-control curtains.

We support customized 190T silver-coated polyester taffeta according to the buyer’s color, finished width, coating performance, waterproof target, light-blocking requirement, and end-use application.

Regular production uses 63D × 63D polyester yarn with a 190T construction. Finished widths can be developed at approximately 145 cm, 150 cm, or 210 cm according to project requirements.

Buyers can provide color standards, target hydrostatic pressure, UV or shading requirements, finished width, application, physical samples, and estimated order quantity for evaluation and quotation.
