Quilted Double-Layer Oxford Fabric is a multi-layer functional textile constructed with an Oxford fabric outer layer, insulated padding, and a second Oxford fabric backing. Unlike conventional quilted fabrics that combine Oxford fabric with a lining, this construction features Oxford fabric on both sides, providing enhanced abrasion resistance, structural stability, and long-term durability.
The fabric is quilted using either ultrasonic bonding or traditional stitched quilting to securely hold the insulation layer in place. Regular face and backing fabrics include 300D, 420D, and 600D Polyester Oxford, while different padding weights can be selected according to the required insulation, cushioning, and finished fabric weight.
The outer Oxford layer can also be developed with PU coating to provide additional waterproof and wind-resistant performance, making the fabric suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor applications.
Double Oxford Fabric Construction
Oxford fabric is used on both the face and back, providing better abrasion resistance, tear strength, and structural stability than conventional Oxford fabric with a lining.
Insulated Quilted Structure
The internal padding improves thermal insulation, cushioning performance, and overall fabric thickness while maintaining a stable construction.
Ultrasonic or Stitched Quilting
Ultrasonic quilting produces a seamless quilted surface without needle holes, offering improved durability and better resistance to water penetration. Traditional stitched quilting is also available for applications where cost efficiency is the primary consideration.
Optional Waterproof Performance
The outer Oxford fabric can be finished with PU coating to achieve waterproof performance ranging from approximately 1,000 mm to 5,000 mm water pressure according to the selected construction.
Custom Quilt Patterns
Diamond, square, geometric, and other quilted patterns can be produced. Pattern size and spacing can also be customized according to customer requirements.
Functional Finishing Options
PU coating, silver coating, flame-retardant treatment, and antistatic treatment are available for different industrial and outdoor applications.

Quilted Double-Layer Oxford Fabric is suitable for products requiring insulation, durability, cushioning, and weather resistance.
Typical applications include pet mats, vehicle seat cushions, outdoor thermal blankets, tent door curtains, sleeping bags, thermal covers, tool bags, winter luggage, outdoor seat cushions, insulated garage covers, and protective equipment.
For projects requiring waterproof performance, ultrasonic quilting combined with PU coating is recommended to minimize water penetration through the quilted structure.
We provide customized Quilted Double-Layer Oxford Fabric according to the customer's material specifications, quilt pattern, insulation requirements, and finished product applications.
Customers can select different Oxford fabric specifications, padding weights, quilt patterns, quilting methods, waterproof performance, and functional finishing options.
Ultrasonic quilting is recommended for products requiring improved durability and water resistance, while stitched quilting offers a more economical solution for general applications.
Custom colors, fabric weights, widths, and performance requirements can also be developed based on customer samples or technical specifications.
What is the difference between this fabric and ordinary quilted Oxford fabric?
The main difference is the construction. Quilted Double-Layer Oxford Fabric uses Oxford fabric on both sides with insulated padding in the middle, while many conventional quilted fabrics use Oxford fabric on one side and a lightweight lining on the other.
Which quilting method is better?
Ultrasonic quilting is generally preferred for export products because it eliminates needle holes, improves durability, and offers better water resistance. Stitched quilting remains a cost-effective option for general applications.
Can this fabric be waterproof?
Yes. PU coating can be applied to the outer Oxford fabric to achieve different waterproof performance levels depending on the required application.
Can the quilt pattern be customized?
Yes. Diamond, square, geometric, and customized quilt patterns are available according to customer requirements.
What padding options are available?
Spray-bonded polyester padding and glue-free polyester padding are both available, with padding weights from 60 gsm to 180 gsm.
Can functional finishing be added?
Yes. PU coating, silver coating, flame-retardant treatment, and antistatic treatment can all be supplied according to project requirements.
